Red Lion Stodmarsh
The Red Lion, Stodmarsh ..
A wonderful experience, not to be missed ..

Is this the best pub in Canterbury? I think so.
The pub is full of antiques and curios, the service is superb and the meals are marvelous. Beer is served straight from the barrels and brought to your table.
You may be able to buy some eggs to take away with you if there are any spare. They only had five on our visit but by the time we had finished our meals one of the chickens had obliged with another one to make up the six!

Situated in a tiny village next to the RSPB nature reserve, offering walks across the marshes to the Grove Ferry Inn at Upstreet and back along the river Stour. The pub was built in 1801 on the site of an original 15th century pub. Listen out for old time swing music playing in the background!
